SAN JOSE, CA — Investigators in San Jose have arrested a man accused of shattering a rear windshield and critically injuring a dog during a road rage incident earlier this month, according to police.

Officers began investigating on Nov. 11 after a victim reported their vehicle was attacked while sitting at a stoplight at Capitol Expressway and Tully Road. Police shared video from a witness that shows two men striking a vehicle before a third man joins the fray and jumps on a rear windshield, immediately shattering the glass.

Police said a man and woman were inside the vehicle with their two dogs, and some of the glass fell into one of the dog's eyes, causing serious injuries that required emergency care. Detectives with the department's assault unit worked with the Crime Data Intelligence Center to identify the man in the video.
