South Bay Firefighters Extinguish Half-Acre Vegetation Fire
The fire burned near the Hacienda Trail at Almaden Quicksilver County Park in San Jose.

SAN JOSE, CA — Firefighters in the South Bay extinguished a vegetation fire that burned half an acre near the Hacienda Trail at Almaden Quicksilver County Park in San Jose on Tuesday morning.
The fire was reported shortly after 7 a.m. Within minutes, Cal Fire and the San Jose Fire Department had stopped the fire's progress thanks to an "aggressive fire attack."
Containment was reported around 10 a.m. The weather in the Bay Area was seasonably warm on Tuesday, with winds in San Jose blowing greater than 10 miles an hour.
