The Spring Garden Fair Is Saturday In San Jose
The UC Master Gardeners of Santa Clara County will be selling plants and talking shop this weekend at Martial Cottle Park.

SAN JOSE, CA — The sun will be shining bright on Saturday as the University of California's Master Gardeners bring this year's Spring Garden Fair to Santa Clara County. The popular gardening showcase, plant sale and educational fair gets underway at San Jose's Martial Cottle Park on Saturday morning.
Plant purchasers will have a bounty of options to choose from this year, including an array of tomato, pepper, herb and flower seedlings, along with succulents born and raised in the Santa Clara Valley.
Organizers recommend shoppers bring a box, cart, or wagon to ferry their plants home, and vendors accept cash, checks, credit, and debit cards.

Other than the plant sale, visitors can attend a talk, check out informational tables, and get their gardening questions answered directly by the masters. Gardeners may also bring struggling plants for evaluation at the help desk, learn how to sharpen their tools, and more.
The nearby "Green Elephant Sale," offers patrons a chance to buy lightly used tools, pots, and trellises, with proceeds benefitting the UC Master Gardener program.
The park gates open at 8 a.m., and organizers ask that drivers refrain from lining up before that time. They also recommend attendees wear sturdy shoes and are mindful of uneven, muddy paths.
