Stolen Dog In Theft Outside Safeway Reunited With Los Gatos Owner

LOS GATOS, CA — A dog who was stolen at a Los Gatos Safeway on Aug. 6 was reunited with his owner over the weekend, according to Los Gatos police.

Bowie, a two-year-old miniature Australian shepherd named Bowie, was tied up in front of the Safeway on North Santa Cruz Avenue when he was taken by a woman who drove off in a black Mercedes Benz SUV, police said.

Bowie was located in San Jose with the help of a community member and returned to his owner, according to police.

The suspect was arrested, Los Gatos police said in a tweet Saturday.
