Suspects Arrested In 2 San Jose Stabbing Deaths
Homicide detectives have made arrests in two fatal stabbing cases in San Jose, police said Monday.

SAN JOSE, CA — Investigators in San Jose recently made arrests in two deadly stabbings that were the city's fourth and fifth homicides of the year, police announced Monday.
In the first case, police said a man was dropped at a local hospital with serious stab wounds on Feb. 13. He later died from his injuries. Officers found a crime scene in the area of Spring and Taylor streets and said evidence indicated a physical altercation led up to the stabbing. Homicide detectives soon identified one suspect in the case and secured a warrant for his arrest.
Police identified the suspect as Ryan Hope, 32, of San Jose.

Hope was arrested during a Feb. 17 traffic stop, along with a woman in the vehicle. Police identified the second suspect as Dulce Chavez, 38, of San Jose. Hope was booked into jail on suspicion of homicide, and Chavez was arrested on suspicion of felony assault. Police said the motive and circumstances of the stabbing remain under investigation.
In the second case, police said a man was fatally stabbed on Jan. 28 on the 1500 block of Almaden Expressway. The victim was rushed to the hospital where he later died.

Detectives opened an investigation and identified a suspect who was found and arrested Feb. 16 in San Jose. Police identified the suspect as Nikolias Ramos, 19, of San Jose. He was booked into jail on suspicion of homicide.
