Updated: Most PG&E Customers in South Bay Have Power Restored After Storm

About 7,600 PG&E customers in San Jose, Los Gatos and Morgan Hill were without power due to 20 separate outages, according to PG&E officials.

Update: 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20: Nearly 80 remaining PG&E customers without power in the South Bay because of ongoing weather-related outages are expected to have power restored tonight, a utility spokeswoman said.

The outages began on Tuesday, and late Tuesday night about 7,600 customers were without power in the San Jose, Los Gatos and Morgan Hill areas. Overnight, that number dwindled to 1,600.

Update: 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20:
About 1,650 PG&E customers remain without power in the San Jose and Morgan Hill areas due to stormy weather this morning, according to a PG&E spokeswoman.

Between 9 and 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday, about 15,000 PG&E customers were initially without power in San Jose, Los Gatos and Morgan Hill due to 20 separate outages, PG&E spokeswoman Jana Morris said.

As of about 3:30 a.m., about 1,650 PG&E customers in Morgan Hill and San Jose remain without power, Morris said.

Crews are on scene working to determine the exact cause of the outages, according to Morris.

A major power outage caused by stormy weather is impacting about 7,600 customers in the South Bay tonight, according to a PG&E spokeswoman.

At 11:40 p.m., about 7,600 customers in San Jose, Los Gatos and Morgan Hill were without power due to 20 separate outages, PG&E spokeswoman Jana Morris said.

Earlier in the evening, between 9 and 10:30 p.m., about 15,000 PG&E customers were initially without power, Morris said.

Crews are on the scene and an estimate for repairs is expected in the next few hours, according to Morris.
