Top This Pizza Coming to Los Gatos!
New pizzeria's grand opening expected in early September on Los Gatos Boulevard.
That opening will be followed by another location in San Jose later this year, according to Trayce Zimmermann, a spokesperson for the business.
Founded by Jerry and Yovette Raymond, Top This Pizza Co. has plans for future expansion across Silicon Valley and Northern California, Zimmermann said.
“Our family, like every American family, loves coming together for pizza night,” explained Jerry Raymond. “But we always had the same problem. Everyone wanted different toppings and crusts and such.”
Inspired by the success of Chipotle, Top This Pizza fills the need for pizza personalization by providing an assembly-line like display where pizza lovers can design their own 10-inch hand crafted, gourmet pizza in three minutes for $8, the company said in a news release.
Collaborating with a Top This Pizza "artist," patrons begin their interactive pizza experience by choosing their favorite dough, explained Zimmermann.

Next, they proceed down the assembly line of fresh toppings, cheeses and sauces, building their pizza. Once assembled, the custom pizza is popped into a an 800-degree oven, said Zimmermann.
Whether patrons choose two toppings or a dozen, the price is always the same, $8 for a 10-inch personal pizza.

In addition to build-your-own pizzas, Top This Pizza will offer a number of pre-designed "signature pizzas," a variety of green salads, Top Pockets (pepperoni roll appetizers) and desserts (to be announced).
