VIDEO: Jimmy Marino Makes a Pisco Sour!
The Lexington House co-owner and bartender Jimmy Marino makes pisco sour, the national drink of Peru, for his customers. Video by Sheila Sanchez

Who would have thought? One of Los Gatos favorite bartenders, Jimmy Marino, co-owner of the new Lexington House restaurant on North Santa Cruz Avenue, makes the national drink of Peru for many of his clients in town!
He allowed us to shoot this video footage of him making the alcoholic beverage this week using Encanto pisco.
My husband, who's a naturalized U.S. citizen born and raised in Peru, was in disbelief when I emerged from the restaurant Tuesday evening and told him about it! Then again, we don't drink alcoholic beverages.
Marino says he mixes his Peruvian concoction by using pisco aguardiente, or hard liquor, as the base and adds lime or lemon juice, some syrup and ice and another secret ingredient.
The cocktail was invented by Victor Vaughn Morris in Peru nearly 80 years ago.
