At least part of the fight was captured on security cameras which were purchased at Costco and had just been installed earlier in the day.

Smith told reporters at a news conference Thursday that she had briefly seen the footage.

"One inmate brushed up against another and then the fight was on," Smith said. "You could see a lot of fist fighting."

"There was no indication of weapons that were used," Smith said.

Information about the extent of injuries resulting from the fight was not immediately available, and Smith said medical personnel had left.
