Voting Opens For Parcel Tax At Los Gatos Union School District

LOS GATOS,CA — Voting has begun for parcel tax measures in Berryessa Union School District and Los Gatos Union School District.

Santa Clara County elections officials began mailing ballots to all 65,792 active registered voters this week and polls will close on Nov. 2.

Measure A in the Berryessa Union School District would renew an existing parcel tax of $79 per year for eight years, while Measure B for the Los Gatos Union School District would renew an existing $290 parcel tax and add $45 per parcel with a 2 percent annual increase per year.

In-person early voting is also available at the Registrar of Voters Office, located at 1555 Berger Drive, Building 2 in San Jose.

The last day to request a replacement vote-by-mail ballot is Oct. 26. Vote Centers will be available starting Oct. 23. Voters in both school districts can go to any of the five Vote Centers in order to vote in person.

Directions on how to return ballots are available in the materials mailed to voters.
