Walmart Supercenter Celebrates Grand Reopening In San Jose
The remodeled Walmart Supercenter has a new look, more self-checkouts and revamped pickup and delivery options.

SAN JOSE, CA — Walmart hosted a grand reopening of its Story Road Supercenter on Friday, marking the completion of a major remodel with donations to local organizations in San Jose.
Shoppers at the overhauled store will notice a new front area equipped with four times as many self-checkout registers, an overall "refreshed appearance," and renovated or expanded departments including the pharmacy and Vision Center. Other upgrades include a new community mural and more robust online grocery pickup and delivery services.
"Walmart's goal is to be there for our community, and this remodel is a testament to that — we now have a new mother's room and a brand new private consultation room at the pharmacy, because we understand the importance of our customers' privacy," said Sophia Jackson, the Supercenter manager. "Our newly renovated store will allow us to better serve our area."

The San Jose remodel is the latest in Walmart's $9 billion investment to modernize more than 1,400 locations across the United States.
