Wine Thief Strikes at Los Gatos Lunardi's
Burglar makes off with several bottles of expensive vino.
A wine thief with expensive taste stole several bottles of vino just before 8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 19 at Lunardi's, 270 Blossom Hill Rd. in Los Gatos.
According to a Los Gatos/Monte Sereno police report, the burglar entered the upscale supermarket and put a hand basket in a shopping cart.
The suspect then selected several bottles of top-shelf vino and put them in the basket, the report said.
He then pushed the cart up to the front of the store and walked out the west doors with the hand basket full of wine without paying for it.
It's unknown the value of the expensive wine and the suspect is on the loose, according to the report.
