YMCA Of Silicon Valley Names New President, CEO
The YMCA of Silicon Valley is one of the largest nonprofits in Silicon Valley, with 10 health and wellness facilities.

SANTA CLARA COUNTY, CA — The YMCA of Silicon Valley named Jim Hori its new president and chief executive officer.
Hori will take over on June 15 for Sandy Berlin Walker, who is retiring after a 43-year career at YMCA and had served as CEO for more than five years.
“I’m honored the board has selected me for this opportunity,” Hori said. “As we continue to move forward from the challenges of the last two years, I’m excited to expand the Y’s services in new ways and continue to bring positive change to people’s lives.”

Hori was previously the managing director of Silicon Valley Bank and president of the Silicon Valley Bank Foundation, a position he held for 19 years.
He’s also been on the YMCA of Silicon Valley Board of Directors for more than 10 years and served as chairman for the last three years.

“I’m thrilled to welcome Jim as our new leader,” said Jill Kispert, the board chair of YMCA of Silicon Valley. “With his knowledge of the Y, complemented by his business experience and long-standing relationships in Silicon Valley, I’m confident he will provide the strategic leadership to take us to the next level in addressing critical community needs and improving the quality of life in Silicon Valley.”
