2 Killed In PCH Crash: Report

Two people were killed and another was seriously injured in the crash on Pacific Coast Highway.

MALIBU, CA — Two people were killed and another was seriously injured in a crash on Pacific Coast Highway Thursday night, according to a report.

The collision occurred just before 7 p.m. on Pacific Coast Highway, just south of Deer Creek Road north of the Malibu city limits, KTLA reported.

A 25-year-old man driving northbound in a Dodge Charger crossed over the double yellow lines into oncoming traffic, crashing head-on into a Chevrolet Tahoe driven by a 53-year-old man, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger in the Charger was transported to a local hospital for treatment of major injuries, KTLA reported.

Alcohol is believed to have been a factor in the crash, the CHP told KTLA.

Video from the scene showed one of the vehicles fully engulfed in flames while authorities responded.

CHP was shut down for several hours following the crash.
