Actor Gary Busey Charged With Sex Crimes At Fan Convention: Police
The 78-year-old Malibu resident is facing multiple charges stemming from an appearance at Monster-Mania Con in Cherry Hill.

LOS ANGELES, CA — Actor Gary Busey, a Malibu resident, is facing multiple sex offense charges stemming from a recent appearance at Monster-Mania Con in Cherry Hill, police announced Saturday.
Busey, 78, was charged with two counts of fourth-degree criminal sexual contact, one count of fourth-degree attempted criminal sexual contact, and one count of harassment, Cherry Hill police said in a release.
Police responded last weekend to the Doubletree Hotel, located at 2349 West Route 70, for a report of a sex offense, authorities said. Police did not release additional details about the incident.

The annual convention was held Aug. 12-14. Busey, who lives in Malibu, California, was scheduled as a featured guest for all three days of the event.
Busey is widely known as a character actor, mainly in supporting roles, though he was nominated for an Oscar for best actor for playing the title role in the 1978 film "The Buddy Holly Story."
