Westside Aquatics Malibu swimmer Kennan Hotchkiss earned a spot at the Southern California All-Star Festival this weekend. Hotchkiss, 10, was selected as one of the top Southern California swimmers in his age group.
Kennan's two top-16 performances—in the 100-yard backstroke and 200-yard freestyle—at the recent Southern California Junior Olympics in La Mirada cemented his selection. He will be joined by fellow Westside swimmer Kian Brouwer, 12, who trains at the team's Palisades site.
Westside Aquatics is a multi-tiered competitive age group swimming program with swimmers ages 6 to 18 and of all abilities. The team practices at Malibu High School.
