Bacteria Warnings Continue For 3 Malibu Beaches

Authorities warned of unsafe bacteria levels at multiple Los Angeles beaches Thursday, including three in Malibu.

MALIBU, CA — Bacteria advisories remained in place for three Malibu beaches Thursday.

Warnings were issued for Leo Carillo State Beach and Latigo Shore Drive Wednesday and Topanga Canyon Beach Monday due to bacteria levels that exceeded health standards, according to the Los Angeles County public health department.

Authorities advised against getting in the water at these beaches.

Warnings were also issued for multiple beaches in Santa Monica, Marina Del Ray and Venice.

Some bacteria warnings were lifted Thursday in Redondo Beach, San Pedro and Santa Monica. To see a full map of which beaches to avoid, visit the Los Angeles County public health department's website.
