A man was airlifted to a hospital in critical condition.

A man whose car went down a ravine along Tuna Canyon Road early Sunday morning was airlifted to a hospital in what a county fire dispatcher called critical condition.
The incident took place about 1 1/2 miles north of Pacific Coast Highway and was reported at about 12:45 a.m., a county fire dispatcher said. Someone spotted the vehicle about 200 feet off the road, a California Highway Patrol officer said. When the actual wreck occurred was unclear.
