Car Slams into Wall During Malibu Chase
A suspect has been taken into custody. One westbound lane of Pacific Coast Highway was briefly closed.

A high-speed chase of a woman in an Audi Tuesday night ended in Malibu on Pacific Coast Highway near when the car crashed into a wall.
The chase began at 7:57 p.m. at Beverly Glen and Olympic boulevards in West Los Angeles because the car's registration was out of date, said California Highway Patrol Officer Krystal Carter. The woman then drove onto the Santa Monica Freeway followed by Pacific Coast Highway, Carter said.
Driving at speeds up to 90 mph, the Audi hit a wall just north of Via Escondido Drive a half-hour after the chase began. The woman took off running, and a CHP officer chased her across the highway and tackled her to get her off the highway as a Metro bus was fast approaching.
