Charlie Sheen's Neighbor Tried To Strangle Him, Prosecutors Allege

A woman who lives in the same Malibu apartment complex as Sheen is accused of attempting to strangle him, according to a report.

MALIBU, CA — A woman accused of attacking Charlie Sheen at his Malibu home last week pleaded not guilty in court on Tuesday.

Electra Schrock, 47, is charged with a felony count of assault by means of force likely to produce great bodily injury, according to court staff. Her bail was set at $75,000. Schrock is scheduled for a pretrial hearing Jan. 8.

Deputies responded to 6600 block of Cavalleri Road about 1 p.m. Dec. 20 after a report of "battery/disturbance," the deputies said. Schrock was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and residential burglary, deputies said.

Prosecutors successfully obtained a retraining order against Schrock in court, the Daily Mail reported.

Schrock lives in a rented third-floor apartment in the same complex where Sheen resides; the "Two and a Half Men" actor lives on the second floor. Schrock is accused of going to Sheen's door and putting her hands around his neck when he opened the door, according to the Daily Mail.

Schrock works with children's charities and is a Buddhist, one of her friends told the Daily Mail.

She has two prior misdemeanor convictions. Additionally, she was on pretrial diversion for an elder abuse charge at the time she is accused of attacking Sheen, the Daily Mail reported.
