"I can drive four minutes and I can be in what feels like Colorado," said McDonald, who is known for his love of distance cycling, endurance running and ultra marathons.

McDonald hosts retreats that feature surfing, skiing and snowboard and yoga.

"I've always said yoga is the perfect compliment to everything, regardless of what you do. It is only going to help your mind and your body, and a lot of other subtle levels energetically, really become more balanced," McDonald said.
