City To Host Public Safety And Preparedness Expo In Malibu
The free expo will teach residents how to better prepare for wildfires, earthquakes and other disasters.
MALIBU, CA — The City of Malibu and Public Safety Commission are hosting a Public Safety and Preparedness Expo on Saturday, June 15 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Trancas County Market shopping center. The expo will teach residents how to better prepare for wildfires, earthquakes and other disasters.
"The traditional fire season is coming fast," the City of Malibu press release said. "There couldn’t be a better time to get trained in first aid, learn how to make a family emergency plan, and stock up on the supplies you would need to survive without help for 72 hours or more."
The free event will be informative and fun; kids can learn about preparedness and see the Mini Therapy Horses that work with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, the press release said.
