Commuter Alert: Caltrans to Shut Down Local Roads, Lanes This Week

They'll be in effect from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Wednesday at various locations.

The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will close portions of SR-1 and SR-27 at the following locations from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.:

SR-1 Closures

Monday, Oct. 13 - Intermittent closures will be in place in one southbound lane between Latigo Canyon Road and John Tyler Drive for a traffic survey.

Wednesday, Oct. 15 - One southbound lane will be closed between Latigo Canyon Road and John Tyler Drive for storm drain cleaning.

SR-27 Closure

Tuesday, Oct. 14 - Flagging will be in place for storm drain cleaning from Circle Trail to Fountain Road.

Motorists should expect delays and consider alternate routes. The California Highway Patrol will be on duty.

Motorists are advised to Slow For the Cone Zone and Move Over. It’s the law.
