Construction Will Shut Down PCH Lanes This Week
Motorists should expect even more disruptions to travel on PCH this week due to a construction project.

MALIBU, CA — Several lanes of Pacific Coast Highway will be shut down overnight Tuesday due to road work.
Caltrans will close lanes one northbound and one southbound lane of PCH near Corral Canyon from 8 p.m. Tuesday to 6 a.m. Wednesday, with one lane open in each direction, according to city officials.
The closures will allow crews to shift the southbound travels lanes to the north side of the construction zone. The southbound left-turn pocket will close again, possibly through summer 2026, officials said.

Motorists are urged to drive cautiously and watch for workers and construction vehicles.
The work is part of the third and final stage of the conversion of a culvert at Corral Canyon Road into a bridge to allow ocean salmon to swim upstream. It's part of a large project to repair and/or replace 12 drainage culverts along PCH from Temescal Canyon Road to the Ventura County line. The project will continue through summer 2029.

Meantime, a stretch of PCH farther south — closed to the general public since January's Palisades Fire — is on track to reopen next month.
