Council Candidates Get on Stage

The Malibu Stage Co. hosts a forum for the City Council candidates.

Local arts, public safety and candidates' top priorities were among the topics discussed at the candidates forum that took place Wednesday night at the This was the first event featuring all seven candidates since last month's , which was hosted by Malibu Patch and Moms-Pod.

Nearly 70 people attended Wednesday night's forum, which was hosted by Malibu Stage. Look for an article about the event on Malibu Patch soon.

Sample ballots for the election were sent to Malibu homes on Tuesday. Election Day is April 10, which is during the Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District's spring break. If you do not plan to be in the area on Election Day, you should sign up to receive an absentee ballot. The sign-up form can be found here and should be submitted to the at by April 3.

The city will host a voter registration drive on Saturday at from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event will also provide an opportunity to register for a passport. Go here for more information.
