Crane Topples At Malibu Construction Site

MALIBU, CA — A large crane overturned at a beachfront construction site in Malibu Wednesday, injuring its operator.

The crane toppled at a construction site on the 31300 block of Broad Beach Road.

The operator of the machine sustained a leg injury, which was described as non-life-threatening, according to the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff's Station

Officials urged residents to avoid the area and use an alternate route, as Broad Beach Road was blocked by the crane at around noon.
