UPDATE: Injury Crash Causes Closure of PCH in Malibu

The crash happened near Broad Beach Road.

A trash truck and a tow truck collided Wednesday and causing the closure of southbound Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu, the city of Malibu reported.

The crash happened on Pacific Coast Highway near Broad Beach Road and both southbound lanes of PCH are closed there, according to the city of Malibu. Traffic is being diverted onto Broad Beach Road and rejoining PCH at Trancas Canyon Road.

One person was injured in the crash and was taken to a hospital, according to the the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Station in Malibu Hills.
