Downed Power Line Closes PCH In Malibu

MALIBU, CA — All lanes on state Route 1, the Pacific Coast Highway, reopened after a downed power line caused closures in Malibu on Tuesday afternoon.

Authorities closed all lanes on PCH at Corral Canyon at 2:53 p.m., according to the city of Malibu. At this point, the closure was only expected to last for 30 minutes. The lanes were reopened at 4:05 p.m. with crews working throughout the day.

Southern California Edison responded to the incident. There were no reported power outages in Malibu Tuesday afternoon.
