The has secured the talents of USA Olympian Jessica Mendoza to participate in a free softball clinic. The clinic will be open to youth of all ages. Ms. Mendoza has confirmed that she will be here and the clinic will go on —rain or shine!
In addition to being a key player on the USA softball teams that took home Olympic gold at the 2004 Athens games and the silver at Beijing in 2008, Ms. Mendoza and her teammates also won the gold medal at the 2007 Pan-American Games. Her individual honors include being named USA Softball Athlete of the Year in 2006, World Championships Offensive MVP in 2006 and 2008 Women's Sports Foundation Sportswoman of the Year.

Those in attendance will learn basic to advanced fundamentals in hitting, short game (slapping and bunting), base-running, outfield and infield. In addition, instruction on strength and agility training and nutrition guidance will be provided. Ms. Mendoza will pull from her extensive athletic career training to emphasize the importance of mental skills, teaching self-confidence, leadership skills and the best ways to visualize success as an athlete.
