Malibu High Choral & Instrumental Departments Masterworks Concert

The Choral and Instrumental departments will perform Vivaldi’s "Gloria in D" at the annual Masterworks concert in the campus auditorium.

Vivaldi composed this "Gloria" in Venice for the choir of the Ospedale della Pietà, an orphanage and school for girls. "Gloria in D" is Vivaldi's most famous choral piece and presents the traditional "Gloria" from the Latin Mass in 12 varied cantata-like sections.

Malibu High soloists who will be featured in the performance include sopranos Ren Martinez, Susannah Shaw and Olivia Thorne; alto Tanner Porter; cellist Leah Hamel and violinist Zach Hamilton.
