"Race to Nowhere" Screening

The screening of "Race to Nowhere," a documentary about achievement pressures in modern schools, is sponsored by the Malibu High School PTSA and the College and Career Center. It will be preceded by Shark Fund pizza fundraiser at 6 p.m. and followed by a discussion hosted by Timothy Brunold, dean of admissions at USC, and Malibu mother and family therapist Susan Stiffelman.

From the Malibu High website: "Director Vicki Abeles turns the personal political, igniting a national conversation in her new documentary about the pressures faced by American schoolchildren and their teachers in a system and culture obsessed with the illusion of achievement, competition and the pressure to perform." 

Admission is free, but preregistration is required.
