MALIBU, CA — State Route 1 (Pacific Coast Highway) will be reduced to one lane Friday between Deer Creek Road and Sycamore Canyon Road in Ventura County.

The closures will start at 9 a.m. and end at 3 p.m. Friday and on Jan. 28. Traffic in both directions will be channeled through one open lane.

The project is expected to significantly disturb traffic, and the department advises motorists to use alternate routes.
