High Fire Risk Weather To Hit Malibu Through Sunday: Authorities
The city of Malibu will see an increased fire risk through Sunday with gusty winds and high temperatures.
MALIBU, CA — The city of Malibu will see high fire risk weather through Sunday, according to the National Weather Service for Los Angeles and Oxnard.
The advisory started Monday as the city was projected to see wind gusts between 25 and 45 miles per hour Monday and Tuesday. Monday and Tuesday were projected to bring temperatures between 75 and 85 degrees with low humidity, according to the City of Malibu emergency services.
The wind was expected to pick up by Wednesday with gusts between 35 and 55 miles per hour until Thursday. Temperatures were expected to rise to between 80 and 90 degrees with humidity remaining low. The conditions Tuesday through Thursday will make active wildfires possible, according to the city.

The weekend was expected to see low humidity with temperatures in the 80s, according to the city.
Residents should prepare for fires, power outages, evacuations and difficult driving conditions as traffic signals could go out and obstructions could affect roadways.
