High Surf Advisory In Malibu Through Wednesday

Malibu beaches will have dangerous conditions all day Wednesday, meaning residents should avoid taking a dip.

MALIBU, CA — Malibu will see high surf and some winds in the mountains Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service Los Angeles/Oxnard.

Large breaking waves between five and eight feet will last through 9 p.m. in Malibu with dangerous rip currents, NWS said. These conditions make for a higher risk of drowning and injuries caused by waves and rocks. The waves could also make sailing with a small boat dangerous.

Authorities advise staying out of the water Wednesday and staying near lifeguard towers.
