High Wind Warning in Effect

Gusts could reach 50 mph on the coast and 60 mph in the mountains.

The National Weather Service has issued a High Wind Warning for Malibu and many other areas in Southern California. The warning went into effect Friday at 3 a.m., and will continue through Saturday at 3 p.m.

Wind speeds could reach 40 mph. Gusts could hit 50 mph on the coast and 60 mph in the mountains.

"Winds may knock down trees and power lines and cause unsecured objects to be blown around," the NWS' website states.
