After Mudslides, Malibu Canyon Road Might Not Reopen For Days
A large mudslide completely blocked Malibu Canyon Road and another mudslide shut down PCH Wednesday morning.

MALIBU, CA — Malibu Canyon Road was completely shut down Wednesday morning due to a large mudslide and could remain closed for two or three days, city officials said.
Malibu Canyon Road was closed in both directions near Piuma Road at around 5:50 a.m. Wednesday, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. The road remained closed around 12 hours later, with no estimated time for when it would reopen, officials said.
All lanes of Pacific Coast Highway between Puerco and Corral Canyons were closed Wednesday due to mudslides. City officials said the road could reopen Wednesday afternoon, but by 5 p.m. cleanup was ongoing and the roads had not reopened.
