UPDATE: Latigo Canyon Road Reopens

The closure was extended through 8 p.m. Wednesday because more repairs are needed to Southern California Edison poles.

UPDATE at 9 a.m. Thursday, July 26: Latigo Canyon Road has reopened.

Latigo Canyon Road, which was closed Tuesday because of a crash that downed some powerlines and sparked a fire, will remain shut down through 8 p.m. Wednesday, according to the city of Malibu.

More time is needed to repair Southern California Edison power poles that were damaged in the crash, according to Lt. Todd Weber of the Lost Hills/Malibu Sheriff's Station.
