Malibu Asks Visitors, Residents to Follow Park Rules for Memorial Day

Malibu does not allow BBQs, open fires or smoking at any of its parks or facilities.

With Memorial Day weekend about to kick off, the City of Malibu reminded residents and visitors to follow parks rules.

Malibu does not allow BBQs, open fires or smoking at any of its parks or facilities.

Below is a schedule of park hours for Memorial Day weekend:

Charmlee Wilderness Park
Open and staffed on Monday, May 28, from 8am to 8pm

Malibu Senior Center
Closed on Monday, May 28

Malibu Community Pool
Closed for maintenance from May 21 through June 17

Malibu Bluffs Park
The park is open from 8am to dusk. The Michael Landon Center will be open and staffed on Monday, May 28, from 8am to 9pm, and classes regularly scheduled for the Landon Center will be held.

Bluffs Park will be patrolled on Sunday and Monday after dark to assure park rules and regulations are being followed during the busy holiday weekend.

Trancas Canyon Park
Park is open from 8am to dusk. Gates to the park are promptly locked 15 minutes before sundown.

All Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District schools and grounds in Malibu will be closed on Memorial Day. The regular City Council meeting has been moved to Tuesday.
