Alcohol Permit Denied for Malibu Circle K

Citing various issues, including a belief there is an "oversaturation" of alcohol providers in the area, the  on Tuesday voted to deny an alcohol permit application for the  on the corner of Pacific Coast Highway and Rambla Pacifico Road.

It was a 3-1 decision. Commissioners John Mazza, Joan House and Lisa Toledo voted to reject the application. Jeff Jennings voted in favor of it. Commission Chair Roohi Stack did not attend the meeting.
