Malibu Man Dies After Being Struck by a Car on the 101 Freeway Shoulder
Jean M. A. Perramon got out of his vehicle because he thought he had hit a piece of metal, according to the CHP.

Malibu resident Jean M. A. Perramon was pronounced dead Saturday evening at Los Robles Hospital & Medical Center in Thousand Oaks several hours after he was struck by a car while standing on the shoulder of U.S. Route 101 in Agoura Hills. He was 63.
Perramon had stepped out of his silver Ferrari at about 12:25 p.m. to look at his car because he thought he had driven over a piece of metal, according to the California Highway Patrol. He was struck by a silver Lexus whose driver had swerved the car to avoid a silver Chevy van that had changed lanes.
The driver of the Chevy was 67-year-old James Pershing Flynn of Thousand Oaks and the driver of the Lexus was 37-year-old Antonio Castillo of Montebello, according to the CHP. Agoura Hills resident Tonya Nicole Toma, 37, was in Perramon's Ferrari at the time of the incident.
