Malibu Offers Summer Programs For Kids And Adults
The summer programs, which range from reading to soccer to ballroom dancing, start the week of June 17.
MALIBU, CA — The City of Malibu Community Services Department will offer a variety of educational and enrichment programs this summer for people of all ages starting the week of June 17.
Parent and Me Programs "promote bonding between parents and young children while developing cognitive, social and motor skills," the City of Malibu said. Summer programs will include weekly morning classes in gymnastics, soccer and music.
The City will also offer Park Tales at Malibu Bluffs Park, a free program that promotes literacy and a love for reading. The program, in partnership with the Malibu Library, includes stories, art activities and snacks.

- Wednesday, June 19 - Tikes & Tails, 10 – 11 a.m.
- Wednesday, July 17 - Things with Wings, 10 – 11 a.m.
- Wednesday, August 14 - Family Picnic, 10 – 11 a.m.
The Youth Programs offered will help children learn a new skill while developing social skills, motor skills, coordination and self-expression, the press release said. Programs will include soccer, cartooning and chess.
Adult Programs will encourage physical and mental well-being while learning a new skill for adults over 18 years old; programs will include beginner and intermediate Tai Chi, ballroom dance, yoga and meditation, and dog training.
