Malibu Promotes Safe Driving Through Film Screening
"Every 15 Mintues" was filmed over several days at Malibu High School and shows the devastating impact of losing a loved one from a drunken driving crash.
A special screening of an emotionally charged program that promotes safe driving to teens is set to screen at Malibu City Hall on Tuesday.
The viewing of "Every 15 Mintues" is set for 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 24, and shows the devastating impact of losing a loved one from a drunken driving crash.
The name of the program comes from the statistic that every 15 minutes, someone in the United States between the ages of 16 and 20 is killed from an alcohol-related crash.

“It is imperative to educate and remind all Malibu residents, especially our youth, that one person’s decision to drive while texting or under the influence of alcohol can not only harm him or her, but also devastate the entire community,” Mayor Laura Rosenthal said. “The city is proud to offer this screening with the hope that it will help prevent future catastrophes.”
The film was performed over two days at in March.

The funding for “Every 15 Minutes” was made possible by the Malibu High School PTSA, The Shark Fund, California Highway Patrol and the City of Malibu.
