Outgoing Malibu Councilmembers Say Goodbye
Outgoing Councilmembers Jefferson Wagner and Pamela Conley Ulich said their goodbyes at the Malibu City Council meeting on Monday night.
Two of Malibu's City Councilmembers said their goodbyes on Monday night in a ceremony full of laughs and some tears.
Councilwoman Pamela Conley Ulich was termed-out and Councilman Jefferson Wagner did not run for re-election.
"Every single one of you out there has a place in my heart," Conley Ulich said before showing a photo and video montag set to music showing scenes from her eight years in office.

Wagner said he was most proud of his work he did on Malibu's trails.
“I will be moving on, but I will be around. I have lived here my whole life. I’ll keep saber rattling and reminding the council’s in the future of their commitments to their city," Wagner said.

Mayor Laura Zahn Rosenthal gave Wagner and Conley Ulich a bag of granola to "keep them healthy."
"Thank you for everything you have done for the city and we all greatly appreciate that," the mayor told Conley Ulich, who was recognized for the opening of the .
Rosenthal also thanked Wagner.
"I didn't support you when you first ran and that was one of the mistakes that I made ... I will support you in the future. It really has been a privilege serving with you," Rosenthal said.
Councilman John Sibert added that he will miss working with Wagner in committees, especially on Malibu's storm water issues.
"It's been a pleasure serving with you. I'm going to miss seeing you up here," Sibert said, adding that he hopes to see Wagner back for four more years.
Sibert also said he would miss working with Conley Ulich on the council.
"We have had an interesting ride ... We haven't always agreed, but somehow we got everything done," Sibert said, pointing several projects, including the , and .
Conley Ulich's husband, David, praised his wife at the meeting, and their son, also sent his encouragment.
"I hope the city council can be as good as it was with you as without you," her son said.
Wagner was also thanked by several people for his single term, including fellow city councilmembers.
"You are one of the people who is truly committed to Malibu," Councilman Lou La Monte said.
The newly elected councilmembers will be sworn in.
Skylar Peak came out with the most votes of all candidates with 1,658 votes, followed by John Sibert, the only incumbent to run, with 1,290 and Planning Commissioner Joan Hosue with 1,146.
A reception will follow in City Hall's multi-purpose room.
