MALIBU, CA — The Malibu Library Speakers series is returning with Scott Freiman's "Deconstructing Abbey Road," an innovative multimedia exploration of how the Beatles created their world-changing music, on Wednesday, September 18, at 7 p.m. at City Hall, the City of Malibu said.
This engaging multimedia presentation explores the songwriting and recording techniques used by the Beatles. The Beatles' Abbey Road is a masterpiece filled with classic songs from the band, such as "Come Together," "Something," and "Here Comes the Sun." Composer and producer Scott Freiman takes the audience back in time and into the studio with the Beatles as they create their music, using a combination of rare audio, video, historical photos and recording track sheets, the press release said.
"The Library Speaker Series continues to bring unique events that enrich Malibu’s cultural life at a time when high-quality, intimate entertainment is becoming more and more rare," said Mayor Jefferson Wagner. "Scott Freiman’s fascinating presentation will offer something for audiences of every age, whether they are new to the Beatles or lifelong fans. I very much enjoyed Scott’s creative ways of examining history and pop culture."
