PCH Crash Driver Who Fled Into Hills Remains At Large: Reports
A man suspected of fleeing after a violent high-speed crash on PCH Thursday night remains at large, according to reports.
MALIBU, CA — A driver suspected fleeing the scene after a violent, high-speed multi-car crash on Pacific Coast Highway Thursday night remains on the loose Friday, according to reports.
The crash occurred near Big Rock Drive at around 6:40 p.m. when a vehicle slammed into several others, according to KTLA. One witness told the TV station that the vehicle was traveling at over 100 mph and crashed into the the other cars head-on.
Video from the scene shows the engine block from one vehicle on the opposite side of the road.

After the crash, the driver ran toward the nearby hillside, authorities said.
At least one person was transported to a local hospital, KTLA reported.

Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff's Station deputies combed the hillside for the driver and search and rescue teams were called in to assist with the search. Authorities believe the man could be injured given the severity of the crash, KTLA reported.
