Planning Commission Meeting Cancelled for This Week

The regular Malibu Planning Commission meeting set for Tuesday, Aug. 21 has been rescheduled.

The Malibu Planning Commission will not meet this week, according to a cancellation notice post on the city's website.

This week is the commission's normal time off every year, according to the city. The next meeting is set for Tuesday, Sept. 4.

Starting Sept. 17, the meetings will be held the first and third Mondays of the month, instead of the first and third Tuesdays.

Commissioner John Mazza, who has since been elected as chair of the commission, originally requested the change meetings be changed to Monday so that the local newspapers, the Malibu Times and the Surfside News, are able to attend without running into their deadlines.

The meetings will not conflict with Malibu City Council meetings, which are held the second and fourth Mondays of each month.
