Point Dume Students Learn Responsibility Through Plants
Through a project called iPlanster, students learned lessons on responsibility and technology.
If you happened to see a student walking around Malibu with a red cup this past week, it was likely part of a science project aimed to teach lessons on responsibility and technology.
Fifth graders at took part in a project called iPlanster.
"For one week, the children acted as 'parents' to a flowering plant. They brought the plant to and from school, watered it when needed and even named it," said Kristin Mason, a Point Dume parent and PTA member.

The project aimed to teach the students responsibility and about technology, Mason said.
At the end of the week, students had the option of donating the plants to the school garden or plant at home.
