UPDATE at 3:50 p.m.: A search for a missing hiker in Leo Carrillo State Park was canceled Wednesday when the woman was found safe, according to Malibu Search and Rescue.

A search was underway Wednesday for a missing hiker in the Nicholas Flats area of Leo Carrillo State Park.

Malibu Search and Rescue responded to the call just after 3:30 p.m., according to David Katz, public information officer for Malibu SAR.
