Cash Mob Planned for Mother's Day Weekend

The businesses that will benefit from the cash mob will be kept a secret until Saturday.

With one successful cash mob under its belt, Preserve Malibu will surprise four local businesses over Mother's Day weekend with an influx of cash.

The group's second cash mob is set for 2 p.m. Saturday, May 12. The group will meet on the corner of Trancas Canyon Road and Pacific Coast Highway.

"Cash mobs are a fabulous way to give locals the chance to support locals. It's a gentle and fun reminder to keep your money closer to home," said Diana Mullen, an organizer of Saturday's event. "It's a great way of keeping the community involved with the local businesses we're all worried about losing."
