Start of School Less Than a Week Away

Students across Malibu will return to school next week.

In the Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District, school starts Aug. 22 for elementary, middle and high school students.

Here is the list of Malibu schools:

• starts at 7:50 a.m.;
• starts at 8 a.m.;
• starts at 8:15 a.m.;
• starts at 8:15 a.m.;
• starts at 8:45 a.m.

Malibu High School will begin the year with a new principal. Principal Jerry Block is taking the place of Dr. Mark Kelly, who left MHS for a position at the SMMUSD.
